The Monday Mindset
“Trust is the one thing that affects everything else you’re doing. It’s a performance multiplier which takes your trajectory upwards, for every activity you engage in, from strategy to execution.” – Stephen M.R. Covey, The Speed of Trust
Do you agree with this quote? Do you disagree? Share your thoughts with the team. What else might be a performance multiplier in the workplace?

Real Customer Call
Today, we’ll be listening to a new real customer call! You’ll have a chance to either listen to or read a real customer question and then engage in a discussion with your team, where you’ll collectively explore how best to respond to the question.
After watching the video, consider the differences in tone between the unenthusiastic and enthusiastic phone calls. The enthusiasm in the second call fostered a welcoming atmosphere and ensured the patient felt satisfied with their questions. This highlights the importance of being patient and making a positive impression while addressing inquiries.
- What strategies can we adopt to enhance our enthusiasm and patience on calls?
- How can we ensure every customer leaves feeling valued and heard?

Weaknesses as Strengths
Welcome to today’s huddle! Today we’re challenging ourselves to turn our weaknesses into strengths. This is an essential step towards personal and professional growth.
- Identify Your Weakness: Write down one work-related weakness.
- Set a Goal: Think of a practical way you can work on this weakness and set a specific goal to improve it.
- Share & Plan: Pair up and share your weaknesses and goals. Offer each other suggestions and support.
- Examples: If your weakness is time management, set a goal to use a planner daily and prioritize tasks. If your weakness is public speaking, commit to practicing presentations with a small group or signing up for more opportunities to speak and practice.
Fall Feels
As we approach the first day of fall this sunday, let’s celebrate the season by creating a Gratitude Jar. Today, we’ll fill it with thoughtful ideas on how to express our appreciation to our customers.
Grab a jar or a container and some small slips of paper. Each team member writes down a few ideas on how to thank and show gratitude to our customers. Not customer-facing? Think of those you serve: stores, vendors, managers, etc. Examples: send a personalized Podium thank-you, send a referral a treat.
Share your ideas with the team, then place the slips of paper into the jar. Throughout the fall season, remember to draw ideas from the jar and implement them to spread a little extra warmth and appreciation to whoever you serve. Let’s strengthen our relationships with those who support our business.
