The Monday Mindset
“Highly proactive people don’t blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. Their behavior is a product of their own conscious choice.” – Stephen M.R. Covey, The Speed of Trust
What can you do this week to be a highly “proactive” teammate? Do you ever find yourself using circumstances or conditions to blame negative behavior? Let’s work this week to transform our adverse circumstances into a positive mindset.

Real Customer Call
Today, we’ll be reviewing a new real customer call! You’ll have the opportunity to either listen to or read the call and then participate in a team discussion to explore the best ways to engage with the customer.
The video showcased the phone team member’s enthusiasm, maintaining a positive tone throughout the conversation. Despite the customer’s confusion and brief responses, the team member remained patient and understanding, effectively guiding the interaction. This approach not only helped to clarify the customer’s needs but also fostered a supportive environment.

Order of Operations (The PACT Method)
In math, the Order of Operations is recognized by the acronym PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction). In teamwork, our Order of Operations can be remembered by the acronym PACT.
Just as Parentheses group together operations in math, Planning groups together all necessary tasks and resources before we start.
- Breakout: Have each team member share an example of a project that went well because of thorough planning. Discuss how planning sets the stage for success.
Exponents represent decisive actions in math. Similarly, in our projects, taking decisive and well-informed actions propels us forward.
- Breakout: List out critical actions required for an ongoing project. Identify who is responsible for each action and set clear deadlines.
Multiplication and Division in math ensure accurate calculations.
Communication ensures everyone is on the same page, there are no misunderstandings.
- Breakout: Think of a scenario where a miscommunication could derail a project. Discuss how proper communication can prevent such issues.
Addition and Subtraction simplify complex equations, just as effective
Teamwork simplifies complex projects.
- Breakout: Reflect on a past project where teamwork was crucial. What strategies did you use to ensure everyone worked well together?
Cozy Vibes
Fall is here, and it’s time to embrace the season! Today, we will create a team playlist that captures the season’s essence.
Each team member will contribute one favorite fall song to a combined playlist. Share your chosen song with the group and explain why it resonates with you during this time of year. Whether it’s a classic tune that brings back fond memories or a new favorite that captures the essence of autumn, your contribution will help create a playlist that we can all enjoy. Once you’ve shared your songs, compile them into a team playlist.
Happy Fall, Y’all!
