The Monday Mindset
It’s the first Monday of the new year! Let’s start with a clean slate. Marie Kondo, author of The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, says, “When you put your house in order, you put your affairs and your past in order, too. As a result, you can see quite clearly what you need in life and what you don’t, and what you should and shouldn’t do.”
Considering that we spend 8-10 hours a day at work, our workspace becomes a kind of home to us. Break as a team and spend your huddle time clearing your desk space. Maybe this is your physical desk: throw away papers and wipe down your desk and keyboard. Maybe it’s your inbox or calendar: how many emails can you delete or archive in ten minutes? Do what you need to do to clean up your workspace. Starting the year off with a “clean house”, will improve your mood and your productivity.

Innovations
Innovation doesn’t just happen in big, groundbreaking ways—it can start with small, meaningful changes in how we approach our daily tasks.
Today, we’re going to explore ways to innovate in our individual roles.
- Take 2 minutes to think about one aspect of your work that feels routine, repetitive, or could be improved. This might be something like organizing files, responding to emails, collaborating with teammates, or interacting with customers.
- Ask yourself: Is there a more efficient, creative, or effective way I could approach this task?
- Pick one idea from today’s discussion that you’ll experiment with over the next week.
- Challenge yourself to track the impact—did it save time, improve results, or make the process more enjoyable?
